In the newly restored Arethusa Museum building, we have designed the antiquities exhibits and showcases, creating a space that celebrates the rich history of the Evia region.
The artifacts to be featured span a vast timeline, from the Prehistoric period to the Ottoman era. The exhibition is thoughtfully organized into six thematic units, or “Spatial Pockets,” each offering a unique lens into the cultural and historical narratives of the area.
Our design concept draws inspiration from Evia’s enduring appeal as a destination for visitors, particularly its renowned hot baths of Edipsos and the fascinating tidal phenomenon of the Euripus Strait, seamlessly blending history, culture, and nature into a cohesive exhibition experience.
Housed within the newly restored, historic Arethousa Museum building, the antiquities exhibition will showcase remarkable artifacts in carefully designed displays and cases, thoughtfully curated to preserve and highlight the cultural heritage of the region.
We are thrilled to announce that we have received a construction permit from the Museum Council for the design and installation of the antiquities exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of Chalkida.
