The plot is located in Chalkida. The main façade lies on the northern side along Haina Avenue, one of the city’s main commercial streets, which connects to northern and central Evia. The plot also has facades on two other unnamed municipal roads on the southern and eastern sides.
The project involves the construction of a three-story building with a mezzanine, attic, and basement. The building’s design ensures pedestrian accessibility via the central staircase, both from Chaina Avenue and the other two roads surrounding the open parking area on the southern side. Next to the staircase, a two-story solar atrium is planned, with its floor at the basement level and a retractable glass roof at the height of the ground floor ceiling.
The building’s primary uses include medical offices in the superstructure and a Day Care Unit (D.C.U.) in the basement. Additionally, parking spaces for 11 vehicles and landscaping with planting are planned for the surrounding area.
The independent entrance to the D.C.U. is located on the southern façade of the building, accessible through a pedestrian pathway. Part of the D.C.U. connects with the two-story solar atrium, which provides natural light, ventilation, and serves as a waiting area. The entrance from Chaina Avenue is through a specially designed arcade, leading to the central staircase, covering an area of 39.84 m².
The D.C.U. will include two operating rooms with corresponding waiting/recovery areas and necessary auxiliary facilities. Additional spaces will include an office-examination room, waiting areas, a staff room, public restrooms, and other auxiliary spaces (e.g., storage rooms, sterilization rooms). The basement will also house storage areas for medical equipment, consumables, medical gases, and electromechanical installations.
Natural lighting and ventilation in the basement are ensured through the solar atrium on the southern side and a cour anglaise on the eastern side of the building.
In the basement area outside the superstructure’s perimeter, a closed parking space with 7 slots is planned, accessible via a ramp from the rear road. The roof of the parking area will be landscaped as part of the surrounding area, featuring greenery and additional parking spaces.
