Floor addition on apartment building

Our office completed the construction of a floor addition to an existing three-story building, designed to seamlessly integrate with the third-floor apartment. This thoughtful expansion addresses the spatial and functional needs of the residents, offering a harmonious blend of utility and aesthetic appeal.

The addition is accessed via an internal staircase, which was made possible by strategically removing a section of the intermediate slab. This direct connection ensures uninterrupted movement between the existing apartment and the newly added space, creating a cohesive living experience.

Key design considerations included the building’s prime location, its sea views, and optimal orientation to the south. These elements shaped the overall concept, ensuring the extension not only complements the existing architecture but also maximizes the potential of the property’s surroundings.

The highlight of this project is the transformation of a previously underutilized space into a stunning rooftop extension. The new addition seamlessly transitions into a spacious terrace, which has been reimagined as a “roof garden.” This outdoor area serves as an extension of the home, offering a serene environment for relaxation, entertaining, and enjoying panoramic views of the sea.
